The Idea
Wall’s has been part of British summers for generations. Share the Summer celebrates the small moments that bring people together from neighbours chatting over the fence, friends walking home from school, teammates cooling down after a match or colleagues lingering after work.
The aim is to use the breadth and familiarity of the Wall’s range to position ice cream as a simple excuse to pause, connect and share a summer moment.
Why Now?
In busy everyday life, small shared moments can carry surprising emotional value. VML’s 2026 “Treatonomics” trend highlights the continuing appeal of accessible treats that provide an emotional lift without requiring a major spend. For Wall’s, that creates an opportunity to move to reinforce something valuable: the emotional familiarity of a brand that already belongs in everyday British summer life.
VALUE
A familiar product becomes a reason to connect, positioning WALL's as part of the social interactions around summer like sharing with friends, family, neighbours, teammates and communities.
KEY MESSAGE
SHARE THE SUMMER.
Wall’s makes a simple summer treat an opportunity to enjoy something together.
AUDIENCE
A broad, multigenerational UK audience, reflecting different ages, ethnicities and relationships across contemporary Britain.
EFFECTIVENESS
Increased campaign recall and brand affinity, strong social engagement and positive sentiment, greater consideration of Wall’s products and summer sales uplift.
OBJECTIVE
Strengthen emotional connection with the Wall’s masterbrand.
Build stronger associations between Wall’s and the warmth, sociability and togetherness of British summer.
CONSIDERATIONS
Each visual should introduce a different relationship or type of sharing, demonstrating the breadth of the campaign platform while maintaining one consistent emotional idea.
Social media campaign
Share the Summer extends into social through the small, recognisable moments that make British summer feel communal. Rather than relying on polished product posts, the content focuses on people, relationships and everyday summer behaviour. Each post uses a situation-specific line, with Share the Summer as the consistent sign-off.
Social can also invite people to share their own summer moments, tag the person they would share a Wall’s with, or respond to familiar prompts around family, friends and community. The aim is to make the campaign feel participatory, relatable and easy to share, while keeping the Wall’s product naturally embedded in the moment rather than making every post a conventional product shot.
