Visual design in Adobe XD for a hypothetical website to be published by Bloomsbury, conceived with the aim of providing history students an informative and social experience into public health narratives and pandemics. The site will repackage content from Daniel Defoe's 'A Journal of the Plague Year'. My role in this team project was Visual Designer, and I produced these designs through a process of collaboration with my Product Owner, Content Designer and UX Designer.

The colour scheme utilizes muted greens and oranges, echoing the design of the Bloomsbury Cultural History website. Similarly, the interactive map uses a complementary visual scheme. Instructions to use the site are presented through blue panels and graphic guides. The typeface is an easy-to-read sans serif and the colour scheme has been tested with an AA accessibility tool to ensure accessibility for users. Navigation and interaction icons have been adapted to suit both desktop and mobile experiences. Navigation icons were sourced from Adobe XD’s free Google icons pack, and the maps were sourced from Snazzy Maps.
