MOTHERTONGUE - As a bilingual speaker who can converse in English and Sinhalese, I wanted to create a multilingual anthology. The following images are spreads are experimental page spreads I designed, produced in Adobe InDesign with the use of copyright-free images from Pixabay. I used placeholder text in different languages and explored various grid layouts and typography.

With a team of collaborators and contributors, a limited edition of the final Mothertongue anthology-- shown further down-- book was produced at London College of Communication. As co-designer and sub-editor, I was chiefly responsible for the cover design. The anthology incorporated several different languages including Spanish, French, Italian, Thai, German, Hindi, Russian, Romanian and Welsh. Some of the illustrations are printed on translucent paper and the cover has a thermographic finish.
